Maya Angelou School of the Arts (MASA) is a relationship-centered virtual microschool designed for students in grades 3–8. We combine arts integration, project-based learning, social emotional learning, and personalized instruction to create a learning experience where students feel seen, supported, and challenged.

We currently serve students in:
Grades 3–5 (Upper Elementary)
Grades 6–8 (Middle School)
Students learn in smaller grade bands to allow for meaningful collaboration, differentiated instruction, and personalized support.

No. MASA is a private virtual microschool. Families partner closely with us, but students receive structured instruction, projects, support, and guidance directly from the school.

Students participate in live instruction Monday through Wednesday for approximately 3–4 hours per day.
